                      THE HOMEBUYER REPORT

This is a budget style survey, a simplified version of a building survey and is based upon the standard format published by The Woolwich Ekins Homebuyer Report. It is suitable for houses and flats built from the early to mid  twentieth century to date and of standard or simple construction. Unlike the full building survey, this survey does not include guidance budgets for remedial works under differing headings. It is primarily concerned with the fabric of the structure, it does provide for a fire insurance reinstatement cost valuation. It gives basic information about the condition of the property but it does not contain any detailed recommendations with regard to repair, nor does it provide for a market valuation. However, it does provide sufficient information upon which to make a decision as to whether the investment is likely to be sound and is typically used on properties as shown in the right hand margin. 

It will consider Environmental issues i.e. Telephone Masts, Potential for Flooding and Radon Gas.
